Frequently Asked Questions

It’s our goal to educate patients on their care, making them an active partner in their health. Simply put, we want you to understand every aspect of your care with us so that you can make the best possible decisions for yourself.

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions that we hear. If you have questions not answered on this page, please don’t hesitate to contact us today.

Once I go to the chiropractor, do I have to go forever?

Whether or not you choose to visit us is always up to you. We have many patients who choose to visit us for ‘protective care’-just like you would visit your dentist to keep your mouth healthy for the future and prevent problems. You can make chiropractic care a regular part of your wellness plan to ensure long lasting health. It is always your choice how long you benefit from chiropractic care.

Will my chiropractic adjustment hurt?

Chiropractic care is gentle and focused, delivered exactly where you need it most. Some techniques use more force than others, but we always tailor your adjustment to ensure your experience is relaxing and comfortable. If you ever have any concerns, please let us know. We can always modify our technique to find the right style to address your needs.

What can chiropractic cure?

Chiropractic care isn’t designed to ‘cure’ anything. Instead, we look to identify any underlying neurostructural issues with the spine and nervous system, and employ gentle techniques to correct the dysfunction, allowing the body to then heal itself. Remember, chiropractic isn’t about treating symptoms but about restoring normal function so your body can heal and function at its fullest potential.

Why should I have my child adjusted?

Children experience ‘micro-traumas’ from the beginning, whether it is difficulty during the birthing process or daily falls as they learn to walk. These micro-traumas can cause spinal problems-and it’s much easier to correct a child’s spine than deal with the effects of the trauma years later in adulthood.

Do I need a referral to come to your practice?

As primary health care doctors, no referral is necessary to see us!

Can you work with my health team?

Absolutely. We will gladly speak with your other health care providers if you would like us to; and can share any x-rays or imaging they request. We want you to experience the best possible health results.
